How is enterprise AI inference usage measured?

AI Usage Metering is the concept of measuring what was consumed, and normalizing it into consistent, well-defined usage evidence.

Before cost can be attributed, consumption priced, or revenue and margin evaluated, enterprise AI inference usage has to be measured and given a shared definition. AI Usage Metering owns that first question — what was consumed — expressed as evidence the rest of the package can rely on.

These are concepts, not a metering system, agent, or formula. Implementation and measurement tooling remain the buyer’s.
